ok...here is my annual (almost) DS review of glasgow!
so got up out of bed. what? oh skip this part right
*fastforwards*
3pm - leave mum go to signing. I see the 'new' deathstars extended version of termination bliss in the record store.
Me: got something to get signed by them when they come
Counter dude:Oh they are in the dow pub, we've to send you guys down there.
Me: ah (and thinking 2 things one: rockstars are always found in bars 2. that's the pub my mum was asked to be married in!)
Anyway
*enters bar, sees guys*
Me: Hi guys i got sent to find you! can you sign these! (my cd and a poster for my friend who couldn't be there)
Whiplasher: sure
cat: hey that's the new cd!
some guy (their tour manager) oh yeah you guys haven't seen it yet..
*cd and poster passes round each guy looking at it*
meanwhile...the guy , I'm def sure he's the tour manager yaps about how two metalheads where saying ds weren't glam whilst i yapped to whip.
Me: so how are you guys?
Whip: we are fine, you are looking very pretty today btw
Me: ops: thanks, korn tour going well?
Whip: yes awesome to tour with those guys
*enters a girl wanting autographs she's nervous but whip smiles at her and she gets her tickets signed*
Nightmare gets my cd/dvd: hey who's cd is this may i look at it? My first time seeing it
Me: of course you can
Meanwhile!!!
Some fan guy with metal hammer comes it - flicks though it with whip till he sees the DS tour advert in it
MH guy: "OMG! SIGN THIS!!! SIGN IT!!"
erm..
The girl who just came in and myself wave our goodbyes and good luck for tonight
Outside pub, girl has a guy with her: OMG! that was awesome! my first time meeting them!
Me: I've met them a few times, awesome guys I'm fiona.
Girl: Hi I'm lorraine
SO.....me, lorraine, paul (the guy) go to solid rock have some drinks head to venue, i meet up with my mate jenna, try to sneak in though to the standing, i fail, stuck on balcony *breathes*
5 mins in, deathstars come on (damn that was quick!) and well need i say more? Apart from the crap lighting (red? come on so not really good photos, I did get some vids though - a girl called nina loved them and was beside me singing so you can hear her (and me lol) on the vids...esp when she screams whiplasher ) and the sound wasn't that great, but they were on top form as usual going though there great songs (one thing about being on the balcony you see the back of the stage....mr. J.Davis of korn was rocking to blitzkeig 8) ), and by the reaction of the crowd gained a lot of new fans, but i and others felt they should have came on second after flyleaf.
erm Flyleaf, no crowd reaction at all. until 4 songs in a moshpit started, like ds, lighting and sound rubbish (worse than ds' seriously to much feedback) . The band weren't bad but not great. except for the bass player who gets kudos for being a maniac and having the greatest sideburns ever.
and then we wait. and wait...and wait. Oh look theres jonathan's mike *SCREAMS*....wait....wait....why's that dude looking like fred durst?...wait...*talks to people near me, nina has disappeared though* ....waits...
KORN!!!! woo! funny their sound seems to be fine (Except when the bagpipes came out -argh my ears) and their light show is quite artistic. Munky isn't here but still without him the band perform like hell. Seriously between the 6 moshpits, jon's thanking us 60 times and wooo it looks like stars on the roof, the show was amazing. I might even see em next time they are here.
And now afterwards...go outside looking to find people, jenna, lorraine, paul, hazel and the rest i've met have gone home...so i look for sixx. I meet up with another two people, one called rose. We chat about the bands, esp ds who i tell rose are the nicest guys ever.
Rose: oh I wanna hug em!
Me: ok...
So turn round and see night...wait sixx!
Me: Sixx! it's me tigga!
Sixx: hi! *hugs*
It was brief but nice to see you and debs again! oh and rose got her hug from nightmare.
we go back to the crowd waiting for korn to come out, but everyone i know is going home.
Me: hey rose I'm gonna go (i got her bebo)
Rose: cool I'll wait for korn
Me : *looks in tour bus* Dude fieldy's in there!
Next thing I know the bus is getting crowded...i left quickly :roll:

and lastly - things that i need to post about yesterday that only a few people will get.
SLASH!!, Pancake chest, txting to people in standing, failing to get into standing, wondering if i should jump (i didn't), jd and coke!, erm...ok..., fieldy closing the curtains on the bus, and rock!, come on rest of balcony rock!, even those sitting are rocking more than us!, erm skinny..., argh!, did you just go to the mens loo?, DAD WAKE UP!!!..hardcore superstar instead?
